"No! Ouch!" he wails as you whip the pocket blade across your scarf and his hand.
The good news is you still have your scarf and more importantly the amulet.
The bad news is now you plummet into a splash of darkness churning and bubbling past the screws of the ship.
Holding your breath and the amulet for dear life you black out with the vision of thousands of small fish growing larger while nibbling your flesh.
Hint: Feel brave, not discouraged. As you read the story again make the decisions you would make as if there yourself, not what you think the book wants. If the book could want anything, I would want you to read me over and over again. You were on the right track!
